There is a significant cybersecurity skills gap, with millions of unfilled positions across the globe. Women remain underrepresented in technical
fields such as Information Technology (IT) and Cybersecurity. In the Netherlands, for example, only 13% of professionals in IT are women. This is
a reality that must change.
To address this imbalance, a new global initiative is being launched: The Cyberella — an international brand and movement dedicated to empowering
women through education and training to fully immerse themselves in the world of cybersecurity.
The Cyberella aims to build a strong, inclusive community of women in cybersecurity worldwide. They are kindly sponsoring Hack{h}erQuest to
support our mission of empowering women in cybersecurity.

The Challenge the Cyber (CTC) Foundation organizes cybersecurity events for pupils and students.
The annual Challenge the Cyber CTF, the Cyber Bootcamp, and the deployment to the European
Cybersecurity Challenge are the main pillars, complemented by training and networking activities.
CTC receives support from a growing group of volunteers and friends. Together, they have one goal:
to expand the pool of young cybersecurity talent, make it more diverse, and provide them with the
resources to excel.
Unfortunately, the number of young people who want to develop into technical
cybersecurity specialists has lagged behind the needs of the business community and government for
years. They contribute to addressing this shortage and, in doing so, are fighting for a secure
digital Netherlands.
Challenge The Cyber is kindly sponsoring Hack{h}erQuest to support our
mission of empowering women in cybersecurity.
